2002 CHOQUET-CHOQUETTE REUNION
GENEALOGICAL HEADQUARTERS
Page updated on 17 August 2001
It goes without saying that such a gathering of Choquet and Choquette will
yield interesting genealogical exchanges. To facilitate this, we suggest the
following:
- When you send your official
registration, we will ask you to give us the names and wedding dates / places of your
parents and grandparents so that we can identify your precise link within the family tree. In some cases,
we might encounter a "missing link", preventing us from connecting you to the ancestors Nicolas Choquet and Anne
Jullien, but we are confident in our ability to connect you. This way, all the
participants will be able to visualize exactly how they fit in on the huge
Family Tree on display in the Domaine's Chapel.
- Have you ever seen the Photo
Albums published on our site? We love old photos and yes, sometimes it
is possible to distinguish
features common to Choquet / Choquette (the nose, for example!) The
Reunion will be the ideal occasion to bring old photos of your grandparents and
great-grandparents. We want to limit ourselves to black and white photos
dated before 1950, given the restricted space on our Web site. Three scanners
will be available, and volunteers will digitize your photos, identify the subjects, and
hand them back to you right away. Afterward, they will be published in albums on our Web site. If
you have interesting documents others than photos (birth certificates, military
registrations, etc.), please bring them!
- Of course, we want to take advantage of the event to update our data base of
Choquet-Choquette. Don't forget to check your documents (birth certificates,
funeral cards, etc.) before leaving... Volunteers will be on hand to help you to
fill a Family Card.
Your input is central to our ability to expand
the database !
